Marina Plains Road Lakefield National Park Cape York Queensland
Cape York is one Australia's last true wilderness areas and it is about as isolated and remote as you can get. This is the main road passing through Queensland second largest National Park connecting Musgrave telegraph station with Laura. The 537 000 ha reserve is managed by a total of 4 permanent and two part time staff. Get stuck out here and you could be waiting for quite a while.
