 Aboriginal & Torres Strait IslanderStudies Literacy Project

Students studying at the Faculty of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Studies, Northern Territory University, in Darwin, have written a remarkable series of children's books about "Top End" animals.The student-authors are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders who participated in a 2-year literacy project.

One of the four books, Gekardo the Gecko, has been translated into eleven languages.
