The Landy in the Northern Territory

On the way from Ayer's Rock to Darwin we met up with a friendly camel at Renner Springs road house.

The Northern Territory presented two challenges for the Landy: water and rocks. We crossed 16 creeks and waded through 20 flooded spots on the muddy way to and from the remote Cobourg Peninsula in West Arnhem Land at the very top of the Top End.

Then we faced the rockiest tracks in the Litchfield National Park on the way to The Lost City (another towering rock formation.) I thought it would be Lost Landy as we inched our way over huge boulders.

It was a relief to be on level ground again where Cathedral termite mounds towered over us.
