The Purnululu is an amazing spectacle of rounded towers and domes, striped like tigers in alternate bands of red and grey rock - and it is truly one of Australia's great natural wonders. The aerial view of the beehive domes by helicopter is breath taking.

The track in to the Bungle Bungles is daunting but well worth the trouble if you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Be prepared to cross many creek and rough rocky hills. The scenery from bland desert scrub to spinifex grass and endless flowers will take your mind of the bumpy road.
